Product Overview 

Teledyne Velocity is the next-generation software suite designed specifically for the Sentinel V and Workhorse II ADCP series. It represents a significant departure from legacy software like WinSC and WinADCP, offering a highly intuitive, "smartphone-like" interface that simplifies the entire lifecycle of an ADCP mission—from initial pre-deployment planning to advanced 3D data visualization.

Velocity is divided into two primary environments: ReadyV (for configuration and deployment) and Velocity (for post-processing and analysis). Together, they provide a unified platform that reduces user error and accelerates the path from raw data to actionable insights.

Key Components

1. ReadyV: Pre-Deployment & Planning

ReadyV is the "mission control" for your ADCP. It is resident on the Sentinel V itself, meaning you can often access it via a web browser without installing software on your PC.

• Step-by-Step Wizards: Guides you through setting depth cells, ping rates, and ambiguity velocity based on your specific environment.
• Onboard Maintenance Log: Tracks battery changes, O-ring replacements, and compass calibrations directly on the instrument.

2. Velocity: Post-Processing & Analysis

The core Velocity application is a powerful processing engine that handles the large data sets collected during autonomous or real-time deployments.

• 2D & 3D Visualization: Generate intricate 2D contour plots of current speed/direction or 3D surface maps of the water column.
• Automated Data Averaging: Features an "Auto Averaging" tool to quickly smooth raw data into usable time series.
• Integrated Waves Processing: Capitalizing on the legacy of WavesMon, Velocity includes built-in tools to process Waves Array data, displaying wave spectra and current profiles in a single, synchronized view.
