Product Overview The Teledyne RDI Pinnacle 45 is a 45 kHz phased-array Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) designed to replace and exceed the capabilities of the legendary Workhorse Long Ranger. It is engineered for long-range current profiling up to 1000 meters, providing deep-water data with a significantly smaller footprint and lighter weight than previous generations.

Its defining innovation is the phased-array transducer, which allows all four beams to ping simultaneously. This results in faster data collection, reduced power consumption, and a more compact design that fits into standard mooring frames more easily than traditional four-head piston designs.

1000m Profiling Range: Effectively doubles the vertical range of a standard 300kHz ADCP while maintaining a portable form factor.
Phased Array Technology: The 20° phased-array beam design allows for measurement within 6% of the range to the surface (air/sea or bottom), significantly closing the "blanking distance" gap where data is traditionally lost.
Swappable Configuration: A "game-changing" feature that allows the user to convert the unit from Self-Contained (battery powered) to Real-Time (cable powered) without purchasing additional hardware.
Interlaced Modes: Can be set to "Independent" or "Interlaced" modes, allowing the system to toggle between long-range profiling and high-resolution (smaller bin) profiling in a single deployment.
Redundant Data Security: Includes two MicroSD cards—one in the electronics chamber and one in the battery compartment—ensuring data is safe even if one section of the housing is compromised.
Modernized Compass: Includes both heading field calibration and raw magnetometer data, allowing for post-deployment magnetic correction.
