The Sonardyne WSM 6+ is a compact and rugged acoustic beacon designed for high-accuracy positioning of underwater mobile targets. As a core component of the Sonardyne 6G® (Sixth Generation) family, it supports Wideband® 2 signal technology, delivering superior ranging accuracy and robust performance in challenging acoustic environments.

The WSM 6+ is uniquely versatile, functioning as both a transponder (triggered by an acoustic signal) and a responder (triggered via an electrical pulse through a vehicle umbilical). This dual-mode capability, combined with its small form factor, makes it the "gold standard" for tracking observation-class ROVs, towfish, and crane wires in depths up to 4,000 meters.
