The Applied Acoustic Engineering (AAE) Model 1119 is the flagship omni-directional unit within the 1100 Series Mini Beacon range. It is designed to provide highly accurate underwater positioning for work-class and inspection-class ROVs, side scan sonars, and AUVs.

The 1119 represents a significant leap from previous generations by incorporating Sigma 2 bi-directional spread spectrum technology. This protocol ensures precise range resolution and superior positional stability, particularly in challenging acoustic environments with high multipath interference or vessel noise.
