Bridging the Gap Between Shallow Water and the Continental Shelf
Product Overview
The SeaBat T50 Extended Range (T50-ER) is the specialized "mid-water" powerhouse of the T-series family. While the standard T50 is the industry benchmark for high-resolution shallow-water surveys, the Extended Range version was engineered to fulfill a specific market need (originally driven by the Danish Navy): the ability to maintain ultra-high resolution in the shallows while having enough "reach" to map down to 900 meters.
To achieve this, Teledyne redesigned the transmitter (TC2187), increasing its size and power while lowering the frequency floor to 150 kHz. This makes it the ideal tool for research vessels and survey teams working in deep fjords, continental shelves, or offshore renewable sites.
