Product Overview

The Teledyne RD Instruments Workhorse Long Ranger is a 75 kHz Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) specifically designed for high-performance current profiling over long distances. It is the premier choice for gathering detailed data on seasonal and annual ocean current fluctuations, making it a staple for scientific research, polar studies, and offshore oil and gas projects.

Unlike higher-frequency units designed for shallow water, the Long Ranger is optimized to profile the upper ocean or deep-water columns up to 600 meters in range, providing the longest proven profiling range available from a self-contained ADCP.
