The Applied Acoustic Engineering (AAE) Dura-Spark L80 is the most compact and lightweight model in the Dura-Spark range. It is purpose-built for high-resolution (HR) and ultra-high-resolution (UHR) geophysical surveys in shallow environments such as rivers, canals, estuaries, and coastal waters. Despite its small footprint, it provides a stable, repeatable, and high-quality seismic pulse.

The L80 features two independent banks of 40 tips (80 tips total) mounted on a CAT100 catamaran. Like its larger siblings, it utilizes AAE’s proprietary "long-life" electrodes, which maintain pulse consistency and significantly reduce the need for tip replacement. This system is the premier choice for rapid mobilization on small survey launches or inflatable craft.
